Writing Romantic Comedy with Andi Michael

05/11/2019 - 10/12/2019

Six-week series (£150+VAT). From Tuesday 5th November until Tuesday 10th December, 5:30-7pm.

This six-week course is for anyone who wants to write a romantic comedy novel. Whether you want to write sweet romance or sassy and sexy, this course will help you grow your idea into a fully fleshed out book.

We’ll cover creating realistic and likeable characters, using tropes of the genre (but avoiding stereotypes), discuss what makes a great romance, and outline a structure to give the pacing and tension that the genre requires. There is no ‘one size fits all’ and you’ll be encouraged to explore and discover what works for you and your novel. There will be writing tasks, sharing and feedback, alongside the opportunity to discuss routes to publication. You will make a plan for the next steps when your book is finished.
